Find the right balance between powering up and going with the bare-essentials.

Dodge the more difficult boss fights until necessary or you are powered up.

Avoid the more difficult platform puzzles until necessary, or you have things like Joni’s Blessing, Lifeblood Core, or Hiveblood.

I recommend having completed the game with 107% in order to know what to expect, know what’s available to you, and to be super comfortable with the mechanics of the game. Take the extra time to greatly increase your chances of success. Don’t rush into a boss fight without full health, full soul, and maybe even some lifeblood. After a death, take the time to reset, readjust, refocus, and restart. Treat each attempt as a learning experience / experiment.

Don’t expect to beat it on your first try.

Even if your final goal is to beat Steel Soul with 100%, completing the bare essentials first, will set you up with a solid foundation to complete the rest.

Only about 2/5 of the game is required to beat the main story.
