I'm surprised that Melodyne confirmed the behavior you're reporting as 'normal', I'm not the only person I know using Melodyne in REAPER. That's interesting I started with Editor (I wanted the DNA) back in 3.x and I never had any problems it, really. Celemony reinstated my old plugin version in my account, and since downloading the old version it works perfect. I'd move the slider, and it would just sit there, then all of a sudden it would start to move slowly upward, then sometimes my system would crash! It was completely unusable. For example, I would load a ONE SENTENCE vocal line in it, and just trying to change the pitch correction % slider was ridiculous. It was crazy sluggish, and it kept crashing my system. When I upgraded to Melodyne Editor (DNA), it was an absolute nightmare trying to use it. When I pressed them on it (as it was obviously working fine once I got it installed correctly) they confessed that it works fine in a variety of hosts but that REAPER is not a host they support, hence if you call with a problem in REAPER they have an easy out 'Sorry, it doesn't work in REAPER.' Not uncommon in tech support.

When I spoke to Melodyne once about an issue I was having they went through the whole 'does not work in REAPER' litany. What in 1.2.1 was not working for you? It's possible that you're trying to access features that I just don't use but I'd love to verify if there's a bug. ETA: REAPER 4.0 beta (can't recall which beta version I last used Melodyne in but I don't think it was the current one). I'm not sure what problems you're having but Melodyne Editor 1.2.1 (the latest version) is working perfectly on my system. I'm not sure what Melodyne assistant is, but if they will sell you the OLD melodyne plugin, that one works fine. I used to use the old Melodyne plugin, and it works great. I contacted Celemony and they confirmed that as well.

Well, I know first hand that the new version of Melodyne - Melodyne Editor (with DNA) does not work well with Reaper.
